Expired Vouchers
The Child Trust Fund was introduced so that when a child reaches 18, they have money behind them to start their adult life. That's why, if you don't invest your child's voucher before it expires, the government will open a stakeholder account on your behalf. Of course, you are still free to then transfer it to a CTF provider of your choice.
More information about transferring to Family
If your CTF has been allocated to Family Investments by the government then you will be the 'correspondent' on the account, which means we'll send you the annual statement to you 'care of' the child. But we will not be able to accept any instructions relating to the management of the account from you. To manage the account until your child reaches age 16, you should become the 'Registered Contact'.
