Can you explain my statement?
Received your statement, but not sure what it all means? See below for explanations of some of the key terms used.
Child Trust Fund Account
This is the CTF account number you should quote on any correspondence or in phone calls.
Registered Contact
This is the person entitled to make decisions on the account until the child is 16. At 16, the child can elect to become the Registered Contact.
Account Investing Into
The name of the security or unit trust into which contributions for the CTF account are invested.
Type of Account
A stakeholder account meets certain criteria defined by the Government, e.g. how the money must be invested. For full details, please refer to our Key Features Document.

This is the statement date for the account.
Previous valuation at...
The total value from last year's statement. If this is the first statement provided for this account this will not appear.
Government contributions received...
Contributions to the account from the Government received during the statement period. If we have not received any Government contributions during this period, this line will not appear.
Total subscriptions received...
Total money received into the account during the statement period, excluding Government contributions and allocated contributions.
Total units held
Total units held, their individual price and their total value for the account at the statement valuation date, excluding any money waiting to be invested.
Money waiting to be invested
Money that has been received for the account but has not yet been invested. The units purchased will appear on the next statement as an allocated contributions. This line will not appear if no money is waiting to be invested.
Total value at...
The value of the account at the statement valuation date.
Account details from...
The period covered by this year's statement.
Allocated contribution
The payment was received in the last statement period, or before the account was opened, but purchased units in this current statement period.
Contribution
The account out of which a contribution has been paid.
Reversal
If a payment is returned unpaid by a bank it will show as a reversal.
