Topping-up a Child Trust Fund
Anyone can top-up a Child Trust Fund account as long as the combined total does not go over £1,200 a year (each account year starts on your child’s birthday).
By adding a little to the account each month, you could make a difference to how much the child gets when they’re age 18. Try the Child Trust Fund calculator on the right to see how much they could receive.
Remember, any money paid in to the account belongs to the child. Only they will be able to access it, and only when they are aged 18.
